Michael Toller Counselling & Psychotherapy
My role as a counsellor and psychotherapist is to help people think about their problems and work through them in a supportive way.
Usually, this involves exploring a client's immediate circumstances and feelings. Sometimes, it can also be useful to think about past events and how these might affect the present. In some cases, it can be helpful to explore dreams and associated memories.
The aim is always to help my clients gain new understanding and help them move forwards by finding new meaning in their experience.
In this way, I have helped people address issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, relationships, family problems, cultural or societal expectations, career, health issues, sexuality, identity, grief, abuse, suicidal feelings, eating disorders, self-harm and addictions.
As a starting point, I offer a free assessment by phone or in person to explore your situation, get a feel for what it will be like to work together and to answer any questions you have. This is always a very open conversation with no expectation or obligation to work together.
If we then decide to work together, we will meet weekly in-person at my consulting room in Clerkenwell.
We can work together for a fixed amount of time or on an open-ended basis, depending on what we mutually agree will be most helpful.
I also offer the opportunity to work remotely via phone or online depending on your circumstances.
If you would like to find out more, please get in touch for an initial conversation.
