Meeting the challenges of undertaking therapeutic work in a school setting

Tuesday 16th October

Meeting the challenges of undertaking therapeutic work in a school setting
Ros Park

Ros will talk about her experience as a school counsellor, and of working psychodynamically with young people in a Catholic secondary school. She will focus primarily on the tensions which exist within the institution, and on her efforts to provide, and maintain, a good enough therapeutic space in which to enable the counselling relationship to develop.

About the Speaker

Ros Park is a psychodynamic counsellor, having completed a post graduate diploma in psychodynamic counselling at WPF Therapy in 2003. She worked for many years as a probation officer before joining the Family Court Service (CAFCASS) as a Family Court Adviser, from which she took early retirement in 2008. She has been employed by the Cabrini Childrens Society’s school counselling service since 2006.
