Bridget Townsend’s ‘Psychodynamic Assessment Workshop’

Content:

• The Psychodynamic approach
• Understanding the transference and counter-transference communications in the
  assessment
• Presenting problems
• Clinical assessment as a tool in understanding the developmental complexity of a client
• Clinical Assessment techniques
• How to make a formulation
• Recommendations suitable for use in organisational settings and private practice
• The Workshop will include a presentation; small group exercises, paired work, role-plays and a plenary.

The Workshop is restricted to a small number of delegates and BCA will repeat the Workshop in the new year if there is sufficient demand.
Delegates must be on a clinical training or qualified clinicians/completed a clinical training.

Bridget Townsend is a psychotherapist and lecturer, with 18 years’ experience of psychodynamic work.  In that time,  she has carried out more than 1,500 assessments within counselling organisations.

Tickets cost £35 and a zoom link for the workshop will be emailed on September 10th to the same email address used on Eventbrite.
